A Category B driving licence allows you to drive passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, and goods vehicles with either a manual or automatic transmission, with a maximum permissible mass, including the load, of up to 3.5 tonnes and with up to 9 seats.
The course includes both theoretical and practical training. Driving training takes place on a training ground, in built-up areas, and outside built-up areas.
Your practical training can be conducted by either a male or female driving instructor.
To start a Category B driving course, you must be at least 17 years and 9 months old.
The training process can be monitored individually for each student by the student, the instructors, or the parents.
For individuals who completed their basic education in the Republic of Bulgaria after 26 September 2017, a document confirming completion of at least the first stage of secondary education is required (certificate of completion of 10th grade).
For individuals who completed their education in another country, a certificate issued by the Ministry of Education and Science under Article 11, Paragraph 2 of Ordinance No. 11 is required.
The student can choose driving lesson times throughout the day to develop better skills and driving habits. Students can also choose the area in which they would like to take their driving lessons.
Each practical training lesson lasts 50 minutes. At the beginning and end of each lesson, a briefing and analysis of the student's performance are conducted, for a total of 10 minutes. A maximum of 2 practical training lessons may be taken per day. Driving lessons are scheduled according to your availability and the instructor's schedule.
The training period is between 1 and 3 months, depending on the frequency of the practical lessons, as well as the timely and successful completion of the theory and practical exams.
If a student fails an exam before the Executive Agency “Automobile Administration” (EA “AA” / former DAI), they are required to complete 4 additional driving lessons.

Our training centers have dedicated practice areas where, together with your instructor, you can develop your initial vehicle control and driving skills before beginning lessons in urban traffic.
At the training ground, you will learn:
- Starting and stopping.
- Left, right, and U-turns.
- Hill starts.
- Reversing.
- Driving in confined spaces.
- Weaving between obstacles.
- Forward and reverse parking – parallel to the road.
They are located in close proximity to the training centers.
